You are likely to have happened upon this link because I write a monthly op-ed for newspapers, entitled, “On The Front Line . . . with Brother Royce,” which always has a link to a monthly video feature. The article is faith-based and deals with anything from politics to issues in the faith community.

The article is faith-based and deals with anything from politics to issues in the faith community. It’s titled as it is because for nearly thirty years I’ve spent my life on the front lines of life, brokering in life, meeting people in real-to-life situations and helping them find solutions to get beyond or deal with the circumstances of life. Many guys who are called to ministry find themselves within the four walls of a stained-glass edifice for their entire career, and that’s OK! We each have areas of gifting and each are called to specific platforms of service. Mine just happened to be a calling to live out among the brokenness of the world, helping those in need find hope.
From social/emotional learning programs in schools, to co-founding a music festival that for fifteen years drew over ten thousand people each fall to my little town of residence at the time, to taking an old abandoned garment factory and turning it into an indoor skate park, Salvation Army store, and Habitat Re Store, I’ve always felt led to serve communities in real and relevant ways which advanced Kingdom vision. In fulfilling this commission I’ve been blessed to travel the country, seeing and experiencing many things. Although I jokingly in planning, my goal is to never schedule anything between midnight and 6 AM so that I might rest, the truth is that I believe in approaching each day with a fervor. Today could be my last. In that, when I do take time off, I greatly enjoy food (immensely) and finding hidden treasures with my greatest treasure, my wife of thirty-two years, thus far – a true and treasured gift from God.
Whether you need a great plan for an anniversary, have felt the weight of life and simply need a little R & R, or simply want to experience unique treasures which often go unnoticed on larger travel radars, it is my hope that Front Line Travel will bring you joy in the journey and perhaps introduce you to a place, a people group, or a memorable meal which marks your heart with a special memory. Revelation 4:11 reminds us that the amazing beauty and splendor of life, as with all things, had One beginning. The Creator’s infinite thoughts, by His unbounded hand, often provide many unexpected experiences on this journey we know as life. This is no dress rehearsal! We only get one dance across this stage. Live it to the fullest every day, so that when you leave, you leave prepared to dance to His glory, for eternity.
Bon Appetit & Godspeed, Brother Royce
