It is reported in history that a great financial crisis in England was averted during a dinner party where then President, Lyndon B. Johnson and “Lady Bird” Johnson hosted Princess Margaret. Johnson gave much needed financial aid to England as a result of this dinner. . .
Friends, throughout history the most celebrated moments as well as life-changing crises have been celebrated and contemplated around the dinner table. As of 2019, I had spent forty-years in the world of food professionally. Over the course of that journey, a greater passion engulfed my life, a passion for the people who sat around the dinner table. In view of that, and not to abandon years of education and experience, my life shifted in my early thirties to what is known in many circles as a bi-vocational life. Now, nearly thirty years into the co-existing journey of coaching, counseling, and mentorship related to social, emotional, and behavioral health, I’m happy to report that some things never change. The dinner table I love so greatly to set, is still a central focus of life.
I’ve now transitioned away from restaurant ownership/partnership and daily hands-on operations within the hospitality industry, but since 1995 I’ve continued to be a part of the industry through restaurant design, development and consulting. From completing my most recent project, the beautiful Council House restaurant nestled in the little community of French Camp, MS, along the historic Natchez Trace, to providing staff training for restaurateurs like Jaron Tipton, who recreated a Southern Landmark when he developed a revised version of the old Coffee Pot restaurant in Lucedale, MS, I continue to serve in building the hospitality industry strong. (The original Coffee Pot and Bailey’s Scratchin’ Post were landmarks along the old Hwy 98 for generations of beach-goers in the Southeast)
The link below will provide you with a brochure regarding the services of FOOD Celebrate Life! Whether I serve you as a private chef or design your dream restaurant from drawings scribbled on a paper napkin, I look forward to seeing you at a dinner table somewhere.
